Our President gave his State of the Nation Address last July 25, 2011, Monday. The SONA is delivered every fourth Monday of July. It is one of the most waited event in politics in which the President of the Philippines reports on the status of the nation. This is a duty of the President as stated in Article VII Section 23 of the 1987 Constitution: “The President shall address the congress at the opening of its regular session. He may also appear before it at any other time.”
The State of the Nation Address of our President was one of the highlights that many Filipino had witnessed. His SONA depicts the present situation of our country and the changes that had been done during his reign. After the SONA of our President many criticisms were heard from fellow Filipinos . Our President used the Filipino language in his SONA.
