I AM PROUD TO BE AN ILOCANO!!

The first thing we learn is our native language. It is the main means of communication. Only a few, use Filipino or English as a means of communicating with one another. It is only when the child enters the school that he is introduced to the Filipino or English language. Most often than not,  even if we are old we still use our mother tongue.

Being familiar with our native language is good. We carry our being as an Ilocano everywhere we go. We can relate to our Fellow Ilocanoes and we understand one another. However, there comes a time that we need to be open to other languages like Filipino or English. This is because we need these in our work, education and specially to understand other people. Unless we are open, we can never grow. This is also our means of uplifting our morale and confidence to be a better person. We become competitive which will open the way to more opportunities for us. Thus developing our potentials.

However we must not forget our mother tongue, because it is in going back to what we have learned before that pushes us to move on. We should be humble and live simple. And one way is by using our native language. We should remember that what we are today is because of what we are then. We should be proud of our mother tongue. Forgetting our native language is like disregarding our past which is contributory to what we are today. I AM PROUD TO BE AN ILOCANO!!

True Essence of Christmas

Christians all over the world celebrate Christmas in December 25. This is a special holiday for us to have a family gathering, colorful decorations in our houses, exchange of gifts, and even singing of christmas songs. Many people also take part in religious services.

Christmas is a sacred season where we commemorate the birth of our savior Jesus Christ. Every person usually says "Merry Christmas" to every one. We usually do a merry making. Some people are being materialistic sometimes when Christmas is coming. But they forget what the true essence of Christmas. Do you still remember those? For sure, some of us don't know what it is. Love is one of the essence of Christmas. It is a way to show love to God, family, friends, relatives and everyone. Gift giving is also a way of expressing our love to others. It is a sign of gratitude to the people whom helped us. We also say sorry to all the persons we've hurt. Thank You to all the persons who helped us made our life colorful, directed us to the right path and who molded us. We also forgive the persons who hurt us. These are some of the ways to show the true essence of christmas.

We must always remember all of them not only for Christmas Day but forever and everyday. Let us have christmas season everyday. Let us bear in mind that the true spirit of Christmas is in our heart.

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities

Everyone is born to treated equally. We have equal rights and even our opportunities.

As time passed by equality is not accorded to everyone. Because discrimination and inequality is now being done everywhere, even in school, public areas, home and many more. Just like women in the past decades. They experienced inequality and discrimination. Women stayed at their houses to take care of their children, do the household chores. Many of them are not allowed to study. They are just following their husbands. Men were the ones who find a job just to make their family survive.

The true essence of equality and opportunity in the lives of people is not observed. There is a big gap between men and women. There are things that men are capable of doing while women can't. But these past years, women can now do almost anything. Even the gender equality is being treated similarly. There also a big wall between the rich and the poor.

God created us equally. Let us face the world with equality to every people. All of us must ensure to provide equal rights and equal opportunities to anybody. All of us have a special rights. If we work hand in hand, we can assure that all rights and opportunities in this world will be equal. There is no poor and rich domination. Even a male or female. We can all attain peace, progress and development of the world. God created us one. We are all EQUAL!

You and I can Make a DIFFERENCE

Everyone of us can make a difference. The effort maybe small or big but the most important thing is that we can make a difference in our own little way. God created us very unique and different with each other.

Nothing is constant in this world except change. Let us try to reminisce all the things that we have done. All of them undergo changes. But they can't be changed. Just stand by the word or action that you have done and be responsible to face the differences.

To make a difference is to start it with yourself. But making a difference is a difficult task or act. We are making little steps just to start. But our own efforts are counted and we can make it in a better way.

Climate Change

"Climate change is real. The science is compelling, And the longer we wait, the harder the problem will be solve."-John Kerry

Climate change is significant nowadays. It has lasting change in the distribution of weather patterns over periods ranging from decades to millions of years. It maybe a change in average weather conditions or the distribution of events around that average. It is also limited to a specific region or maybe experienced by the whole countries on earth. Climate change also increases in temperature and storm activity. It is regarded as a potential consequence of the greenhouse effect. The climate change in the past is not as hazardous as this days. It is also due to human activities. There are many effects of climate change. One is the continuous change in weather in different parts of the world. The thinning and continuous melting of ice sheets and glaciers have increased the sea level. Agriculture has also been affected. There is a decline in agricultural products which has affected many people. Global warning which is one of the effect of climate change posses threat even to human life.

All these changes have been effects of the new technology. We should think twice of the dangers we can create. Let us try to work for the better future. Let us work hand in hand to enjoy our precious life to the fullest.

Reflection

Second Grading is now over, our ICT or Information  Communication Technology subject is focused on the tags that were used in the web. We only have few days for our lesson in our subjects because we had practiced for the Sabayang Pagbigkas. As a result  we are catching up with the section. At first, I don’t know  what lesson we will be taken and I don’t know how the tags were placed  in the web. But our teacher, discussed to us on how the tags where placed as well as their functions. I have learned how  to use the tags properly in the web. I hope that I will finish all  my exercises in our subject so I will learn another topic again in the next grading periods.
